MATERIALS

Granite

Distinctive beauty and outstanding durability make this natural stone a top choice for kitchens, baths, and beyond. The wide array of color and pattern variations give each slab its own unique character. Safe and sturdy to last a lifetime.

Marble

Marble has an unrivaled, classic look that always seems to be in style. With timeless appeal, this stone gives any space a high-end look. Dense and relatively non-porous, this material is durable and stain resistant. It does require some maintenance to keep it pristine, though many prefer the gradually aged surface with etches and stains that blend into the veining over time. Often called the “blue jeans of countertops” – it can show the wear and tear of life, but that is also what gives marble its character.

Engineered Quartz

Practically maintenance free, man-made engineered quartz countertops are stain, acid, scratch, heat and impact resistant and, thanks to their non-porous composition, don’t need to be sealed like natural stone countertops. This man-made surface is just as strong as granite but has the added benefit of being more flexible making it less likely to chip or crack and perfect for any interior space.

Quartzite

Not to be confused with man-made engineered quartz, Quartzite is a natural stone mined from quarries the same way as granite and marble. In terms of make, texture, and sturdiness, quartzite is extremely similar to granite. Its crystalline sparkle transforms applications, such as kitchen or bath countertops, work surfaces, and feature walls into functional and luxurious showpieces. With the current trend toward lighter surfaces, quartzite is a popular choice because its neutral colors compliment any design.

FINISHES

And choose which finish works best for your enviroment.

Polished

A polished finish is created when stone is buffed with the help of fine polishing pads, causing the surface to acquire the iconic glossy, reflective appearance. It highlights the depth of the stone, and makes the colors look crisp and vibrant while helping the surface stay smooth and flawless.

Honed

Honed stone has a matte finish that can vary from completely flat to semi-matte. It is a bit more forgiving when it comes to scuffs and scratches, especially with marble, and dresses down the feel so its softer and warmer, rather than vibrant and pristine. The surface is smooth and velvety to the touch and evokes a more relaxed and casual vibe. The honing process makes the stone more porous and susceptible to stains and requires more frequent re-sealing.

Leathered

To achieve its trademark rough surface and slightly matte look, a diamond tipped brush is run over the stone’s surface repeatedly. This strips away imperfections and polishes the stone while leaving the natural contours and grooves intact. Combining both a tactile and textural appeal, with a natural beauty that cannot be ignored, leathered granite countertops are quickly rising in popularity with designers and homeowners. Leathering granite is known to tighten the natural pores of the stone and thus mitigate damage done through spills.
